He cherishes the genuine relationships he’s already formed with patients & highly values the privilege of being their doctor. He hopes to continue building his roots in Edmond through serving this great community.

Dr. Cherian was born in India but moved to Oklahoma at the age of two. He graduated Mustang High School and then went on to receive his Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Central Oklahoma. After realizing his dreams of NBA stardom were fleeting, he began shadowing several healthcare professionals and ultimately fell in love with optometry. He enjoyed the lasting relationships eye doctors had with their patients while also enhancing and protecting the patient's vision.
During his time in optometry school at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Dr. Cherian served as the national president of the American Optometric Student Association and went on two mission trips to Honduras. He was one of the top graduates in his class of 2020, earning the Golden Retinoscope for clinical excellence. He furthered his training with a residency in Ocular Disease and Refractive Surgery in Oklahoma City through BVA & nJoy Vision.
He is an active member of Edmond Young Professionals and is in Leadership Edmond Class XXXVII (37). He also serves on the Pre-Health Professions Leadership Board at UCO. He volunteers his time through Giving Sight Day as well as his local church.
In his free time, Dr. Cherian loves spending time with his wife- also an eye doctor who he met through an optometry conference! He enjoys watching sports, re-watching Lord of the Rings or Marvel/DC superhero movies, playing basketball, or spending quality time with his extended family. Although he isn't much of a cook, Dr. Cherian loves to eat and has a terrible sweet tooth.
