INVISIBLE TECHNOLOGY IMPROVES THE VISIBLE

To provide you with the clearest vision possible, BeSpoke Vision offers several choices of the highest quality and most technologically advanced prescription lenses available today.

There is a tremendous amount of technology behind the lens choices, all of which is designed to provide comfort, convenience and improved vision. And yet, most people think a lens is a lens, usually because they have never experienced the difference.

Think about it like this: Cars are available with a wide range of choices, from basic to fully equipped at all price levels. A compact car will get you to the same place as a luxury car. Yet you will likely notice a difference in comfort and convenience features between the two. Engineering and technology contribute to the difference you experience.

Technology has significantly improved the clarity of vision available in prescription eyeglasses.

LENS MATERIALS HAVE IMPROVED

At one time, the only material used for prescription lenses was glass. Unfortunately, glass was both fragile and heavy.

  • Plastic lenses were introduced in the late 1940's and is still a standard today for lightweight lenses.

  • Polycarbonate lenses developed in the early 1970's for the military evolved into shatter resistant lenses for consumers. Today they are often used for athletes of all ages and in children's eye wear.

  • Trivex lenses were introduced in 2001 and are lightweight, impact-resistant and minimize the potential for something called chromatic aberration which look like rainbow halos around bright objects.

  • High-Index lenses are the thinnest form of plastic lenses available and often provide enhanced vision clarity for multi-focal prescriptions.

Each type of lens material differs in the way it allows light to pass through the lens. A detailed article on these characteristics can be found at  All About Vision

WHAT LENS TECHNOLOGY CAN DO FOR YOUR EYES

AUTOMATIC SUNGLASSES

You shouldn't have to give up great vision when you go outdoors.

Transitions lenses automagically darken in the presence of bright light, so you don't have to carry a second pair of glasses.

This is especially helpful for patients who need prescription sunglasses.

Transitions lenses are available for children and adults, providing the perfect vision inside or outside.

LOOK - NO LINES!

Patients who need multifocal lenses so they can see at multiple distances, often had to settle for lenses with visible lines.

Today, HD Lenses can provide line free multifocal prescriptions with even better clarity.

Varilux S lenses provide multifocal prescription capability with no visible lines and enhanced clarity in each focal zone.

RESISTANCE IS A GOOD THING

Being able to see clearly is what glasses are all about.

Anyone who has had to constantly remove their glasses for cleaning knows it is a pain. It doesn't have to be.

Crizal lenses resist water, glare, dust, smudges and scratching - this means your glasses can stay on and provide clear vision in spite of what life throws at them.

Crizal lenses resist water, dust, smudges, scratches and glare so you can see clearly without having to constantly clean your glasses.

BLUE LIGHT PROTECTION

There are two types of blue light - harmful and non-harmful.

Harmful blue light comes from many sources including the sun, computers, smartphones, tablets and other technology.

Some lenses have blue light protection built in.  For those that don't, coatings can be added to protect against blue light.

Eyezen + lenses provide the ultimate blue light protection in a single vision lens, reducing eye strain from continued exposure to technology.
