Origins

Etnia Barcelona was founded by David Pellicer started in 2001. Yet the inspiration for the company dates back to the 1950's when David's grandfather, Fulgencio Ramo opened a sunglass factory in Spain. At 17, David began working at the factory, acquiring valuable knowledge. 

Materials

Non-metallic frames are made from natural acetate blocks, produced in Italy. Unlike injection molded frames, acetate is surprisingly made from cotton and therefore 100% natural and malleable.
