WHAT IS FARSIGHTEDNESS?
You might have a condition called farsightedness or hyperopia.
When close objects appear blurry and distant objects are clear, this may be a common vision condition known as hyperopia.
Farsightedness is often present at birth and can affect people of all ages.
A normal eyeball is round. When the front of the eye (the cornea) is shorter than normal, it changes the focal point of the eye, resulting in farsightedness.
This causes light and images to focus behind your retina instead of on your retina.
Many options are available to treat patients with myopia.
Dr. McGee can help choose the treatment that best meets your needs.
Treatment options include:
Prescription Lenses
Refractive Surgery
