Optometric Technician - Patient Care Champion

$17-$19 Hourly - Depending on experience & qualifications

BeSpoke Vision needs an Optometric Technician who is a Patient Care Champion to help contribute to the best patient service experience. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with a team of compassionate and engaging professionals to provide exceptional care to our patients!

Prior eyecare experience is a plus, but certainly not required. We offer paid training to the right person with a great attitude and a love of learning!

In this role, you will prepare patients to see our physicians, coordinate treatment plans, caretake patient needs and answer their questions, complete electronic patient charts accurately as well as contribute to the success of our clinic team. This is a full-time position offering the stability of a career in healthcare, with NO WEEKENDS, no on-call & no evenings!

Requirements

• 2+ years successful health, patient care or customer service experience
• Ability to confidently work autonomously; knowing when to ask questions
• Ability to educate and coach patients through prescribed treatments, aftercare and what to expect
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Proficient with computers and technology
• A sense of urgency without sacrificing thoroughness
• Strong desire to help people

Nice to have but not required:

• Optometric Technician patient care experience with a great attitude
• CPO, CPOA, CPOT, CPOC, NCLE

Some of your duties will include:

• Self-managing timely patient pickup using our schedule as a guide
• Work-up patients for their visits or consultations; including performing testing on equipment and documenting results accurately in our EHR
• Have personable and meaningful conversations with patients, while guiding their experience to ensure you achieve objectives in a timely manner
• Adhere to best clinical practices
• Potentially assisting the physician in seeing patients, scribing the visit and maintaining compliance
• Continue to build on and exceed the patient service experience
• Coordinating with the Clinic Director
• Continual Self Development
• Other duties as assigned
